A suspect has been shot dead and an officer has been transported by air ambulance following an officer-involved incident in Russell Springs, on Monday.
According to reports, a man was neutralized on Blue Bird Drive after police responded to the scene for an investigation. According to the Russell Springs Police Department, an officer with the department was life-flighted to a hospital for treatment. Kentucky State Police has not released an official statement following the incident.
Residents of Russell Springs and Jamestown, KY have asked the public to pray for the quick recovery of the Russell County Police officer. Residents have been urged to avoid the scene due to the ongoing investigation. The suspect identity was not released
