YFN Lucci, American rapper ‘Rayshawn Lamar Bennett’ has died, Atlanta, GA mourns YFN Lucci

A famous American Rapper and singer originally from Atlanta, Georgia has tragically passed away. Family confirmed that the 33-year-old rapper known by his stage name YFN Lucci died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

YFN Lucci-born Rayshawn Lamar Bennett was pronounced dead after an incident this morning. The tragic news was confirmed by his team “Think It’s A Game Entertainment.” The record label released a statement on Facebook; “Pray for us y’all, YFN Lucci, God bless your soul.” He was a father of three.

Who Was YFN Lucci?

Rayshawn Lamar Bennett (born February 16, 1991), also known as YFN Lucci, was an American rapper and singer from Atlanta, Georgia. In 2014, he signed with Think It’s A Game Entertainment and released his debut mixtape, Wish Me Well, in December of that year. His second mixtape, Wish Me Well 2 (2016), debuted on the Billboard 200, led by the tune “Key to the Streets” (featuring Migos and Trouble), his first Billboard Hot 100 hit.

Rayshawn Lamar Bennett was rushed to the hospital following a medical emergency. He was confirmed dead at the hospital.

His debut extended play (EP), Long Live Nut (2017), reached number 27 on the list and produced the track “Everyday We Lit” (with PnB Rock), which peaked at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is still his highest-charting song. His first studio album, Ray Ray from Summerhill (2018), reached at number 14 on the Billboard 200.
